Striker Guinan announced as new Hartpury coach

Former Cheltenham Town striker Steve Guinan has been appointed as Hartpury’s new Junior Football Academy Manager. The appointment follows the departure of Tim Jenkins, who played a big part in the football development at Hartpury, who was offered a role at Manchester City FC as their Elite Development Analyst.
Steve, who is currently on loan to Forest Green Rovers from Northampton Town, will take up his post in January and will be responsible for the day to day management and coaching of the Junior Academy team. The Academy has been very successful in recent years and has grown a reputation as being one of the premier college based teams in the country. They won the ECFA national champions title in 2008 and 2010 and the Junior U18’s won their second successive ESFA national colleges cup this year.
Tom Radcliffe, Football Academy Director said: “Steve has a tough act to follow but brings with him a wealth of playing and coaching experience to ensure the continuing development and success here at Hartpury.”
