Ciren Town hold open talk on future

Cirencester Town are inviting the public to an open meeting this week to discuss the future of the club.

The Centurions, who were relegated from the Southern Premier League following last weekend’s defeat at the hands of Bashley, will hold the meeting at the Corinium Stadium on Thursday (April 12) at 6.30pm.

It follows a frank admission from chairman Steve Abbley that he is considering stepping down from the role he has held at the club for the past 16 years. In an interview with the Wilts&Glos Standard Abbley said he is considering dropping the club down to the Hellenic Premier League, a two league drop, to ensure a sustainable future.
