Cinderford Town have confirmed the signing of Lee Smith.
Smith, a pacey winger/striker who can also play in defence, was released by Blue Square Bet North side Worcester at the end of last season.
The Foresters will be his fourth Gloucestershire team. After coming up through the youth ranks at Gloucester City Smith signed for Cirencester Town for a record fee. He later played for Weston-super-Mare before rejoining Gloucester where he was part of the squad who won promotion to the Blue Square Bet North.
After one season in the BSN, where he scored 21 goals from midfield, Smith signed for Forest Green Rovers, where he struggled to break through into Dave Hockaday’s regular squad before being sent out on loan to AFC Telford, Gloucester City, Chippenham Town and Weymouth. Smith left FGR at the end of the 2010/11 season and signed for Nuneaton Town before leaving to join Worcester City, he also enjoyed a brief loan with Cirencester Town before the end of the 2011/12 season.
It is believed he turned down the offer of full time football in the Southern Premier League to join the Foresters. One of his first games is likely to be the friendly against former club Gloucester, for whom he made more than 350 appearances.
