Gloucester City’s Will Morford says friendly rivalry with his housemate and strike partner Mike Symons is spurring him on this season.

Morford and Symons, both lecturers, share a house in Quedgeley and Symons currently leads in the scoring stakes with four goals, but Morford got off the mark on Saturday with the winner against Eastwood.

With Symons set to lose one of his goals if Ilkeston’s results are expunged Morford is keen to put his injury troubled pre-season behind him and catch his housemate up.
